Today is a huge day for us at hap – it’s our sixth birthday! We’re busier than ever, but we thought we’d take some time to celebrate another year spent crafting incredible experiences around the UK and reflect on our story so far. 

We first found our feet bringing festivals, sports games, and other outdoor events to life with our dedicated hospitality teams. A few years and a whole global pandemic later, it wasn’t long before we realised our flexible staffing solutions had the potential to truly change multiple industries for the better…

The journey to today 

From staffing 50 festivals in our infancy to supplying teams to more than 500+ events this year, it’s safe to say that hap has grown rapidly over the years. And that’s not all – our offering has expanded to include waiting and bar staff, kitchen teams and front-of-house roles, cleaning, housekeeping, admin, retail, security, and stadium staff. Essentially, if you’re looking to show diners, customers, punters and festival-goers a good time, we’ve got the means and the manpower to pull it all together.

This year, in particular, has been a special one for our team as it saw us score some firsts for hap. From launching our chef and kitchen personnel offering, to making our staffing debut at the world-famous Grand National steeplechase, to helping Birmingham host the 2022 Commonwealth Games, it’s been all go!

Charlotte, General Manager:  6 years of hap! I feel lucky to have been with the business the majority of this time and see the growth we have had. We’ve gone from a head office team of 5 to team to 60 in 6 years, impressive work. We supply a large number of festivals, hospitality venues, hotels and more, it’s great to be expanding, and growing our client base and our temporary staffing database.

On-site operations team: Our operations team have scaled up every year. Summer 2022 was an unbelievable run with roughly 1000+ on-site operations team shifts making for a jam-packed summer! From packing the hap vans in the blistering sun at hap HQ!! From running staff to bars in the sun…. and rain, we have had a brilliant year. Post-summer site operations team debrief brought to light some great plans and ideas for 2023. Bring it on

Amy, Head of Festivals & Events: hap has grown and grown over the years, and its not stopping! Being in the business nearly 4 years, I have seen this first hand, we have  accomplished so much within those years to be where we are today. It is great to be a part of such an amazing team and we couldn’t do it with our head office staff, on-site teams, clients and temporary staff. Summer 2022 being my highlight staffing over 250+  Festivals in the UK & Ireland. I cannot wait to see what next year brings.

Getting personal 

It goes without saying that hap wouldn’t be where it is today without the amazing support that we receive from both our staff and the companies across the UK who have chosen to partner with us over the years. We would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey up until this point.

As for the future? We have no plans to slow down any time soon – much the opposite, in fact. We’re extremely excited about what’s coming next, and we look forward to growing our business even further.
